Position: Corporate Accountant

Job Summary:

The Corporate Accountant, reporting to the Regional Accounting and Compliance Manager, will be responsible for managing the monthly financial ledger, preparing financial statements, and providing variance analysis. This role involves working closely with the Global Management Accounts team to ensure adherence to global policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monthly Close: Close the regional financial ledger within 5 working days.
• Financial Statements: Produce monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with variance analysis commentary.
• Global Policies: Partner with the Global Management Accounts team to ensure compliance with global policies and procedures.
• Asset Management: Run and reconcile depreciation and related assets.
• Expense Management: Prepare accounts payable accruals, review payables postings, manage accruals and amortizations.
• Data Validation: Upload and validate results onto Hyperion with commentary.
• Cost Tracking: Track P&L profit centers and cost centers, focusing on overheads.
• Ledger Maintenance: Conduct periodic reviews with various business functions (AR, Treasury, AP, Sales, Planning).
• FP&A Collaboration: Work with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to ensure accurate monthly results for forecasts and budgets.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Prepare reconciliations to minimize financial risk.
• System Improvement: Review current systems and controls, suggest improvements, and share SAP knowledge within the team.
• Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience.
• Education: Degree in Accounting preferred.
• Technical Skills: ERP and Business Intelligence reporting experience preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in the apparel industry preferred; knowledge of cost accounting.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and goal-oriented.
• Multi-Tasking: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.

Compensation:

• Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
• Base pay is determined within a range that allows for growth and development based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
