Position: Accounts Payable Analyst

Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for performing accounting functions related to the efficient maintenance, processing, and settlement of accounts payable. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of payments to suppliers and other contractors while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing Transactions: Perform day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions by matching suppliers' invoices with deliveries and purchase requests using a 3-way match system.
• Verification and Discrepancy Resolution: Verify the validity and accuracy of each transaction, resolving any discrepancies, and ensuring the completeness of required invoice attachments.
• Data Entry: Prepare data entry in the accounting system, specifically SAP.
• Monitoring Accounts: Monitor outstanding accounts to ensure timely payments to suppliers and other contractors.
• Invoice Prioritization: Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
• Monthly Reporting: Prepare and analyze the monthly aging of Accounts Payable and reconcile payable balances with suppliers' Statements of Accounts.
• Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to owned processes.
• Data Analysis: Create informational data needed in the analysis of purchase journals.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of BS Accountancy or any related course.
• Experience: At least three years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a manufacturing organization.
• Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of accepted accounting practices and principles, applicable laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of SAP Module.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
