Location: New York

As the Barclays US Head of Escrow and Captive Insurance Coverage, you'll be responsible for the growth and management of the Escrow and Captive Insurances business in the US. This role presents an opportunity to cultivate a best-in-class risk and control culture while implementing recent industry best practices within the ICB Americas product set. The Corporate Strategic Solutions team operates as a global client coverage unit within the ICB IFC (Insurance, Funds & Corporate Strategic Solutions) business, delivering client origination, escrow, securitization, and captive insurers banking services to clients worldwide.

Salary Range:
Minimum: $145,000
Maximum: $215,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a small, dedicated team of escrow and captive insurance relationship directors.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities with new and existing clients across key account portfolios within an agreed client planning framework.
  • Collaborate across Barclays’ businesses to capitalize on the global platform for client benefit and to expand the network.
  • Foster close working relationships with in-country Global Relationship Directors & local Country Relationship Director bankers to uncover new Captive opportunities.
  • Drive initiatives with external business introducers, trade associations, solicitors, and accountants.
  • Develop a portfolio of new Onshore Captive client acquisitions at the New York branch.
  • Leverage existing networks of law, accountancy, and professional advisory firms to secure new escrow mandates in New York.
  • Provide support to offshore teams with business originating from Bermuda and the Cayman Islands, including periodic travel to these locations for continued support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and experience in Corporate and Investment banking.
  • Proven track record with international client relationships in both service and sales environments.
  • Extensive network including law firms and other Key Business Introducers (KBIs) to generate business leads.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple jurisdictions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand client needs.
  • Demonstrated commercial effectiveness and drive for results.
  • Prior formal credit training is advantageous.
  • Technical proficiency in sales and networking.

Location:
You will be based at our Americas Headquarters, situated at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is nestled in the heart of Manhattan, in Times Square, and features amenities such as a cafeteria, fitness center, and state-of-the-art LED signage on the building facade.
